Admission Guidelines
Who are we looking for? And, is our institution what you are looking for? Whether you are absolutely certain, or a bit unsure, we are here to help you figure that out!
Missional University is looking for Christian believers with a desire to live their life’s work while serving in the mission of God. Our students are Christians seeking the ability to serve God in all aspects of their lives, including through their professions; Our students desire to grow in their faith; Our students desire to serve God’s mission, and our students want to spread God’s word in all that they do.
First-time college applicants must provide proof of completion from high school (or its equivalent) or a certified grade report from the General Education Development (GED) test. Applicants whose high school grade average is below a 2.0 (C) may be accepted on a probationary basis, which will give them an opportunity to prove their academic ability. Applicants with earned college credits must provide an official transcript for courses or degree completed.
In addition to submitting the online application, a faith statement, and necessary transcripts or documents, students are also required to submit an essay. If you have completed the ACT or SAT, please include your scores (although that is not required).
FAITH STATEMENT SUBMISSION
Please write a brief testimony of your personal salvation experience and describe your personal relationship with God today. This statement should be 200-300 words in length. Be sure to include your name and birthdate on the document and submit it to admissions@missional.University.
ESSAY SUBMISSION
Please write a 500-600 word essay response to the following question:
Missional University’s mission statement says, “To prepare biblically-grounded, missional leaders who join the mission of God in diverse communities by incarnating the gospel with culturally-appropriate ministry skills while seeking the spiritual transformation of people and communities that connect all peoples to God in worship in their own heart language.” Explain how earning a degree at Missional University would help you support this mission? Be sure to include your name and birthdate on the document and submit it to admissions@missional.University.
Together, your entire admissions package will help us determine if you are a match for the university and our curriculum.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
- Complete and submit the online application
- Complete and submit your personal faith statement
- Submit the $25 application fee.
- Submit your finalized essay
- Submit any required transcripts and documentation
- Have a personalized (online) discussion with one of our admissions counselors.
Be sure to include your name and date of birth on any items that you email to admission@missional.university. Completed applications are considered on a rolling basis for each 8-week academic term, listed below.
